Fire extinguishers should be serviced annually to comply with BS 5306, and we provide comprehensive and reliable maintenance and servicing, ensuring that your fire extinguishers are safe and ready to use at all times.
Depending on the type of fire, they are sorted into classes.
- Class A – fires involving wood, paper, straw, textile and other combustible solids
- Class B – fires involving flammable liquids like petrol and paint
- Class C – fires involving flammable gases like butane and methane
- Class D – fires involving flammable metals like lithium and magnesium
- Class E – fires involving electrical equipment
- Class F – fires involving cooking oils
RJ Fire supply six types of fire extinguishers:
- CO2 extinguishers – used for Class B and E fires
- Water-based extinguishers – used for Class A fires
- Foam extinguishers – used for Class A and Class B fires

All of the extinguishers supplied by RJ FIRE AND SECURITY meet British Standards – BS5306-3:2009 & BS5306-8:2012.
P50 Fire Extinguishers are visually inspected in line with manufactures recommendations and are not covered under the BAFE modular scheme.
